Favorite Works

These are a few of my favorite pieces of the last dozen or so I've done. They vary in medium and style but I think they all still manage to look like they were done by me. I use to think it was imporant to only have one "style" and stick to it, but now I know it's necessary to be versatile and show many abilities. At least I think it is.

September 2007

This was an editorial illustration for an article in The Economist. The article was about the continued fear of attack after 9/11 felt by some Americans, as well as the seemingly frivilous, ridiculous efforts of homeland security. Here's a poster design for a made up event. I wish it were a real event, that would be the best thing ever.

February 2008

Last but not least, a portrait of Tom Waits and the animal I feel best pairs with him - a grizzly bear. I spent a lot of time on this one and I really love it dearly. Please click on the image for a larger view, it's worth it.
